In my opinion, when the A stock goes, the Met will lose its main line feel and become just another underground line!
It would also be a shame if LU don't commemorate the end of all current SSR stocks in some way!

A great stock indeed, with the same basic equipment design as 1959 stock and, later, the Central Line's 1962 stock. As an aside, cosmetically, I always preferred the bare aluminium look, with the red 'London Transport' lettering on the sides, rather than the new refurbishments with their red / white / blue livery.

Ahh the A60/2 stock. Best train on the system. Hope some will be put back in service
and its also sad that the D78's are getting replaced by the S8/7
