Obviously, your advice is great. I would like to add something I found useful for someone who doesn't play often and would rather not mess with varying lengths of club. It is a matter of preference, I use a 6-iron or 5-iron for my short game, but I rotate my club head so that same club can be used as a "9-iron" as well. Take it as you will - it may work for some, and not for others. I have even used my 6-iron in traps. It is only presented as an option and not as golf gospel.
