Whitley and the Hard Times Band has been performing to sell-out audiences throughout the New York Metropolitan area. They perform the exciting and uplifting music of Ray Charles, which include a wonderful blend of musical styles which range from Jazz and Blues, to Country and R&B. The band features Whitley on lead vocals, Angela Workman.... (an original Raylette, Ben E. King), Chyna Grant (Harlem Gospel Choir) and Samantha Whitley on background vocals. Bobby Deitch (musical director) on drums, Joe Macaro (Liza Minnelli, Ben Vereen) on bass, Eddy Bishai (Jimmy Vivino) on piano, Baron Raymonde (Rod Stewart, Blues Brothers) on Alto Saxophone, John Farnsworth on Tenor Saxophone, Mitch Endick (Temptations, Four Tops) on Baritone Saxophone and Fred Maxwell (Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera) on Trumpet.
