Don't ever tool on pondo board...use granite!!!! Don't cut a line twice and to prevent stretching you can rubber cement the project on some thin cardboard.
@misslinnea1 Sorry, I totally disagree. I took my lessons in the 80s and have used pondo board ever since. I would NEVER use granite!!! You need a touch of cushioning under the leather and granite will not give you that. I do agree with the rubber cement....but what a mess! It's easier it you simply don't get your leather too wet..then it won't stretch. About cutting a line twice....if you don't get it deep enough the first time, it does work to cut it again.
@woodcrafter81 Because I did not want them finished! I think raw edges give you a fun, funky look when used on journals. Anything else, I would finish the edges.
