Editors Statement:

A 4.5 minute depth charge for you. This feels like the hottest video I've ever had the honor of editing. Holy wow! Mais s'il vous plait, its not "riot porn." Pornography coopts and commodifies human desire, whatever its "benefits." Whereas dissent especially forms that are not easily controlled, can liberate desire in a space outside of Capitalist control. Corporate controlled media and culture is designed to hypnotize and pacify us into obedient consumers . Less a mediated experience and more of a direct human connection. Though it is through media, video, internet, etc., it is nevertheless human passion at the core. This video and the NYC Anarchist Film Festival is the opposite meant to catalyze further the passion... LIVING and burning inside us all!

This video makes me feel proud to call myself an Anarchist. Though what you call yourself matters less than what you do.There is much to be proud of.

In the beginning, there was the deed...

This volatile footage spans the U.S, Europe and Mexico. It is spectacular. It is a testament to the unkillable will to fight all that threatens dignity and life on earth. Editing this video felt like painting from colors in a vivid burning palette alive with joy. I hope it makes you feel better too. We need to feel better in a fascist demoralizing and dispiriting dehumanizing warzone. High troop morale, according to the U.S Marine Corps, is critical for staying focused and surviving combat stress situations. We are not slaves! We fight back! Courage comrades! The empire is falling! Push harder! We are unstoppable in ever so many ways!

We don't know the name of the band whose music is used in the part where during the G20 protests, a dumpster was rolled by black bloc into the National Gaurd. (Well, as they say... BE ALL THAT YOU CAN BE IN THE REVOLUTION! :) ...Ain't that the truth!!)

Thanks to all the musicians for their excellency. Especially to our hometown homies LeftOver Crack for providing a beautiful articulation of our anger/ anguish... the simmering discontent which explodes without warning... a living phenomenon with a music of its own.

Speaking of phenomenon... the Greek uprising footage will be presented by Anarchist filmmakers from Athens in person at the NYC Anarchist Film Festival in Honor of Brad Will this year.

Last but not least, a poem for the Black Bloc.

In the era of the PATRIOT ACT, and at a point in time when our world is in misery and crisis, I felt deeply inspired by the uncensored passion and expression in the streets so I had to express my own happiness.

The power of the people don't stop...! Let us break our chains and strangle the enemy with them! (Metaphorically speaking of course officer)
