judoka have a lot of trouble defeating a good samboist because there not used to the techniques.

@tszymborski It is a mixture of a freestyle wrestling ,Jiu Jitsu and Judo. The techniques that you saw in the matches are pure freestyle wrestling along with judo techniques. But generaly Judo techniques are used from alternative grapplings with yamarashi or from belt grabs which is stronger but Judokas are not used to it.Oh and buy the way , they had to ban freestyle techniques in judo because Japanese champions started loosing from Russian because of their superior style, including Nomura !
