  • Make sure your thumb only touches the neck (or the palm of your hand in this exercise) at its tip, and is relaxed. There is supposed to be movement of the forearm, so if the elbow is also relaxed this should minimise any energy in the shaking. don't try and bend the fingers as this will introduce tension. Keep the wrist straight. Don't give up you'll do it in the end. Then trying to stop will be hard!

  • don't give up! Once you've got it it's like riding a bike!

  • I've been trying to learn this for years! I first was taught back my eighth grade orchestra class, but my teacher didn't fully elaborate on how to perform it correctly, nor did she give us any pointers. So, I'm very excited to find something that'll teach me how to properly perform the vibrato on my violin c:

  • its help me alot maybe it is hard but now i can see some results .thnx

  • I am finding this very difficult! When I stop sliding the fingers they do not bend back and forth from the joint, the whole thing shakes! :S

  • it is so hard!!!!!!!!!!!!
