The initiative is a clear attempt to challenge the Washington State Supreme Court's mandate that same sex couples exclusion from marriage is warranted by the need for non-gay couples to and their kids to have their reproduction privileged by the state. Indeed, but I'll add more to that. Why does everyone need to be a parent? There are enough volunteers to satisfy the minimum amount of required parents. We're probably far beyond that minimum.

Since we have enough volunteers, people can opt for non-parenthood. For these people, the arguments for whether or not they can be good parents are irrelevant.

You will find no credible research that shows children of homosexual parents do worse that children of straight couples. The only time they do worse is when they get bullied and teased by other children because of their parents.

My thing is; gays should have the same rights as straights; they should be a allowed to marry and be miserable, too. LOL. (Sarcasm...)

But, seriously, what a child needs is loving parents, regardless of gender. I am raised by one mother; and I have eleven siblings. (We're Mormon; 'nough said.) And I am not deprived, even without a father figure. There are other male role models in my life. I am normal, and feel fine.

I'd feel just fine with two moms, too. The more, the merrier! :)
