I like how he says "in my option it under minds the structural integrity of the rotor" this guy is krazy @2:25

I like how he says a machined rotor needs to be replaced.

I have a front wheel drive Buick and the rotor I KNOW is warped, but $ I do not have....
Every time I apply the brakes at low speeds, the brakes pulsate like you mentioned. Then, at higher speeds, the car shakes VIOLENTLY(as if I am driving on a pot-holed road). Thanks for the help! All I need to do now is take your videos, apply them, and save lots of $

Nate, you are RIGHT ON. When I apply the brakes at 60 mph to stop at a light, the WHOLE CAR SHAKES! I know this is not good for the car at all, not to mention my brake pads now need replaced as well. Thanks Nate!

So my grandpa taught me that when replacing brakes you take a piece of sand paper and rub off a bit of surface from the brake pad(the part that touches the rotor) I don't see that on any video...help?

Excellent learning video!

@RobertBorden121 Perhaps someone should come up with a coating or some such item that would retard or prevent this from happening for cars/trucks that are in somewhat "long term" storage. (for lack of a better way to put it) They do make engine chemicals and fuel chemicals to stabilize things. Why not something that can be applied to rotors and drums that any user could spray on--and a matching chemical to easily remove it before driving? Sounds like a job for a future marketable product!

@Tedybear315 Yes, a week or even two - no big deal. My car ended up sitting for at least 3 months at some times.Definitely a different situation. I could see some of the flaky quality to the rotor surface - almost like there was bubbling underneath.
Nate is one f the best presenters on Expert Village. Too bad most of the others are crap.

God, these Expert Village vids are excellent EXCEPT that it's impossible to find the sequential vids cuz the titles are too long to read, and not numbered!!! UUUUGGGGHHH!!!!! FRUSTRATING AS **FUCK**!!!
