包豪斯(Bauhaus)是國立包豪斯學校 (Staatliches Bauhaus) 的簡稱，於1919年由建築師沃爾特·格羅佩斯 (Walter Gropius) 在德國創辦，德語Bau = 建築；Haus = 房屋，Bauhaus是一所藝術和建築學校，講授並發展設計教育。
《包豪斯的建築設計宣言》是一個人偶 + 電子音樂劇，演出以「包豪斯宣言」的內容為結構藍本，透過電子歌曲溫習包豪斯創校理念、校規、校訓、課程大綱、收生標準......並以二十年代該校師生們的實驗人偶演出 「包豪斯劇場」為靈感，偶戲唱遊，重新認識二十世紀初包豪斯烏托邦式設計理想。
In German, "Bau" means construction, "Haus" means building. Bauhaus is the abbreviated form of Staatliches Bauhaus (National School of Bauhaus), an art and design school founded by Walter Gropius in Germany in 1919 which focused on art and architecture, as well as the teaching and development of the education of design.
Inspired by the experimental puppetry performances of the Bauhaus Theater of Human Dolls in the 1920s, the musical starts off from the Bauhaus Manifesto and uses electronic music as its form of expression, revisiting the School's founding philosophy, regulations, motto, course outlines and admission criteria; singing out the utopian design ideals of the early 20th Century.
