The surprise opener for the Love Language Saturday, January 15th, 2011, was none other than influential Chapel Hill indie rock heroes Archers of Loaf!! They hadn't played in over a decade. I know the last time I saw them was around 1997 or 1998.

They rocked as much as ever, like they never laid off. Here, they sing "Might", have a little banter about the marshmallows that people were deluging the stage with, and then break into the great song "Web In Front".

It was amazing.

(recorded in 1080p HD, but seems to play best at 720, at least on my computer)

  • @waitingroom05 I would actually agree, Pitchfork seem to have gotten into a rhythm of throwing up and championing a specific strand of twee crap from either the same, or madly derivative producers that it constantly compares to this kind of band. Which in reality can pay its respects more to phone adverts and scratched negatives.

  • @waitingroom05 howmany dicks have you sucked today?

  • Great voice. I like this band! It's very original! Web in front is great!!! Congratulations!

  • Eric's voice sounds fucking GREAT.

  • Hell yeah!!! This is REAL indie, not the typical pitchfork drivel out today

  • GO LOAF!

  • THE FUCKING LOAF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
