I first heard this song on the movie 'Raising Arizona'. Holly Hunter, who played the part of Ed (Edwina), she sang the song as a lullaby to the kidnapped Nathan Arizona, Jr. It sounded so pretty to me, so I just had to find it. Wonderful song!
