I saw on GBATemp forums a thread about using the DS game Scribblenauts to create a simulated battle & thought 'What an easy way to create a video' ......Here's my Battle in response

Zombies versus Mummies: 10-on-10

In case you're wondering how I got my video so clear, here's how I do it
- The actual video was taken using a Samsung S1065 still camera (using the 'Video Clip' mode)
- It's fitted to a compact Tripod (with legs collapsed) for stability
- I zoomed in so the DS's bottom screen filled the Camera view screen (even though it's blurred)
- I then turned on the 'Macro' function on the camera to get a clearer picture
- Slightly depressed to camera button to 're-focus' before continuing pressing down to start recording

The Video is then editing in Pinnacle 12 for the titles, music, sfx etc. (also to make it a little longer in length - actual fight is only 23sec long)

  • what did u put between the fighters

  • @jolieror the object is a 'pillar'

In later videos (see my 'Scribblenauts battles:God Vs Demon Vs Death vs Deathworm ' video) I changed this to a 'Ice Block' and used a 'weight' attached to 'balloons' to allows the weight to float up & then come crashing down & smashing the iceblock.

Using this way it allowed me to start the battle without my stylus getting in the way to remove the pillar & allowing me to have more than 2 characters battling

  • how can u put soo many in at once

  • @vamponular I use a 'Flashcard' (A game card that allow the running of 'homebrew' - or home made software) which can also run backups of official DS Games - & used a 'cheat' for 'infinite items'

That allowed me to have as many as items as I lke

  • @SIMINCITO: The tune used on this video is called 'Monster Mash' by Bobby "Boris" Pickett, released around 1962 - thought it was old enough to be safe enough to be used

  • @SIMINCITO I could've but @ the time I made these 'battles' - I had a LOT of trouble from YouTube telling me off for using 'copyrighted music'... & I didn't want to run the risk (again) so used a track of a very old song instead

  • in super scribblenauts the zombies just turn the mummies into undead...which doesn't really make much sense.

  • @CannonFoddr You should do those battles on super scribblenauts, no need for stylus anymore

  • mummies and zombies are pretty much kind of the same cause there both dead

  • @MrDJCHEEZY Action reaplay
