A traditional song, this arrangement is based on the version from Uncle Tupelo's album March 16-20 1992. Guitar, vocal, harp by Ernest Johnson, Mandolin by John Gowdy. Downloadable free at http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?genre=Acoustic&songid=...
This song is usually done as a light-hearted celebration of the joys of liquor, but the dark side of the themes of lawbreaking, alcoholism, and immorality fits easily into the experience of growing up in the American South, and I like the more melancholy tone of this arrangement.
