Rule 01 - target lead plane in formation
Rule 02 - dive to gain speed
Rule 03 - attack from below and to the side
Rule 04 - do not fire until the target fills your wind screen
Rule 05 - after firing immediately roll and dive
Rule 06 - repeat as necessary (see rule 1)

@flighthun I found an old clip of Hans J. Marseille attacking a fighter in the very same manner as this clip (made two years ago) and his approach to the target was nearly identical. Recently I've been trying to work out his tactics and think I'm coming close. It's hard to tell what an aircraft is doing from a cockpit or guncam view
