First of all: any leader using God as a reason for war should not seriously be considered for president or prime minister in any country. Secondly: Palin said that USA sent young soldiers overseas to protect USA democratic liberty (is that correct?)? How stupid is that comment on a scale? You protect deomcratic liberty at your own borders. Not in other countries. The argument that USA is an imperialistic country is probably correct on all accounts. How should their actions be considered?

She can "quote" Abraham Lincoln's words about God (i.e. the Invisible Man in the sky) but she can't tell Katie Couric what newspapers she reads on a regular basis? Uh-oh -- something's not right!

Iraq does not have the moral ground of Lincoln's war (despite the puffery).
Since, admittedly, no one can know God's will, He should be left out of politics (remember the separation of Church and State).

I think she did great in that interview. She took Gibson's "gotcha" bullshit, ripped out his liver, and handed both of them back to him on a platter.

Just because Kennedy or FDR said something stupid 50 years ago doesn't validate a stupid comment. Sarah Palin's is not qualified to be vice president of the United States. She is a dishonest, corrupt, ignorant liar. She has been found guilty of abuse of power and has used Alaska tax payer money to fly her children around. She doesn't even know what the constitution says about the duties of the vice president!
Heaven help us if the McCain Palin ticket should be named as the "winners." Polls already show they won't be getting the most votes but the Republicans are sure to cheat again.
