SG 61 Reissue
The light bulb. Television and radio. The microwave oven. Gibson's SG Standard -- all inspirations of genius that transformed the way we live. Gibson's redesign of the Les Paul in 1960 was a bold move. But it paid off big time. It announced a new, radical electric guitar design for Gibson, and the world. It also inspired a rebellious generation of ideas and music rarely experienced before, and certainly not since. Today, that same radical design -- and restless spirit -- lives on in Gibson's celebrated SG line. The Gibson SG '61 Reissue pays tribute to this revolutionary guitar. It's all there, in all its original glory. Transform your playing. Revolutionize your life. Buy the Gibson SG '61 Reissue today and experience your own uprising firsthand.

  • I went to the Nstuffmusic site, but I couldnt find the gibson sg '61 reissue...

  • @vihimantheshort Gibson does not allow us to put guitars on our site even though we are a authorized dealer and service center. Give us a call we have the guitar in stock. 412.828.1003

  • What the differences between the pickups on this guitar and on the Gibson SG Standard?

  • @astrophysics123 The 490T is what is in the Standard. It has a bit more upper mid range output than the 57 classic. More like a Hot Rodded PAF, where the 57 is more like a traditional PAF a little warmer and cleaner.

  • Great guitar and sound! So this model has the independent volume wiring.

Which other model does Gibson wire the volumes independently?

I knew Gibson stock type of wiring is the one on which on the middle position switch, volumes are both a master volume.

    Thanx.

  • No Maestro trem? I'm out.

  • Great demo !! You´re a really cool guy! Peace

  • That sounded a bit like the mario theme you was playing near the end haha xD

  • @NstuffMusic Would you mind telling me the current pickup configuration you have on your SG Classic? Do you still use the Lace Noisless P90s or have they been switched out? Thanks for the reply.

  • @rsaathoff I still have that guitar and use it a lot! great guitar!

  • @NstuffMusic I really admire your playing. I was reading a website of yours that says you have used the SG Classic pretty extensively. But changed the pickups to Lace noiseless P0s. Do you still use this gutar in this form? I was a little pelased because I thought my SG classic was very nice for more jazzy situation playing except for the noise. Do you still play the SG classic with the same Lace pickups? I really like my SG but need to get more control over the noise.

  • Great demo!

  • ..clean voice of the guitar

  • So nice to actually hear the clean vice of the unitary, a opposed to some douchbag shredding.
