Stalemate

Here are my new lyrics for "Dao Dai" -- written by Jay Chou, whom I admire very much! A couple things to point out: first, the general storyline of my lyrics is similar to the original, but I made the singer/protagonist a bit more assertive, since I thought the wording of the original song might seem too passive to a Western/English-speaking audience. Second: I was really impressed by the tight rhyming in Jay's song, and in tribute to that, I also rhymed each and every phrase in my song. It might seem a little more stilted in English than it does rhyming everything in Chinese, but it was fun to write!
