question... what if you don't like winamp? for example I'm a DJ and use Avid Torq or Virtual DJ and would like to do all mi live mixes there instead of in winamp... can I do that??? at the same time... is this only to play music? or in shoutcast I can talk too? Thanks!!

@djtavi77 you can use it to broadcast, and play your music in any other software - thats no problem

Thank you very much for this, it was informative. I am planning on streaming Old Time Radio programs in the future. If that is the case, what bit rate do you still recommend I use with wavestreaming? Especially seeing as how the quality of those older programs aren't as good as modern CDS

@Ironbudokan Hello, As a general rule of thumb: 128kbps is CD quality. 64kbps is FM quality and 32kbps is Telephone quality. So for old time radio, we would suggest 64k (and stream in mono) - as it will still have a good sound but not crystal clarity required for modern broadcasts.
