If you see people in the supermarket thumping pumpkins, crinkling onion skins or rolling dried beans, they may be members of the Vienna Vegetable Orchestra shopping for their latest instruments. Sunday Morning's Martha Teichner got a behind the scenes look at just what goes into their highly unusual, and tasty, musical performance.

  • This whole thing sounds so sexual.

  • Siguro kung ano ang ii-iisip na ito....

  • @boardmkillz & @aznqueenb : There's no waste of food, after the show, they make a soup with the vegetables & the soup is shared with the audience :)

  • this is an epic waste of food.

  • incredible :D

  • 10th!

  • So... do they have soup at the afterparty when the show's over? I'm just a little concerned about what happens to the 70 lbs. of musical food.

  • Lawl, they're shredding the cabbage with such...vigour...o.O
