From "Live In Jacksonville" recorded January 22, 1994.
This is my daughter's favorite song by "The Boys", as she calls them.
Members of the group at that time were Archie Watkins - tenor, Ron Hutchins - lead, Eddie Dietz - baritone, Mike Holcomb - bass, Martin Cook - piano and Myron Cook - upright bass.

  • do you have its still the blood and country needs the cross from this tape?

  • @allmckameys I'm sure I do, However, when I posted this video, I only did it for my kids. Thus, this is the only song from the video that I copied from the VHS, and now, I no longer have a VHS player.

    Sorry :-(

  • Very energetic performance. GO SEE THE INSPIRATIONS! LIVE IN PERSON IS BEST!

  • I agree.

Living in Central Texas, there isn't a whole lot of SGM performers around. However, I found out last night, that The Inspirations are going to be in Waco in April. I'll be there with bells on!! Very excited about getting to see them again. It has been 3 years since the last time I saw them

  • great song, do you have any of the Primitive Quartet?

  • No, I don't have any Primitive Quartet videos. I used to have an old video of them, but I have no idea where it is anymore.

  • This song holds a special place in my heart. My grandpa use to sing it with someone till he passed away. My grandmother was given a ladder with a sign that said "They're holding up the Ladder."

  • @insman76=> These songs have character, they're Doctrinal songs. I believe that is why, when you hear them on the radio, you know who it is. Notice the Music on these recordings. No back-beat, just plain piano. Good Godly lyrics, and music. Would to God, we had more like the Inspirations!!

  • yeah, I've found a few but the majority of the ones on here are ones I've posted.

  • just type in the primitive quartet at the search engine it will bring up a few wonderful group

  • They keep singing these same songs... and we keep loving it! The Inspirations have a lasting appeal.
