So i assume you would rather stay in this hell of a recession, stay broke for a longer period of time, have McCain continue the war and possibly engage in even MORE wars? And then, in 10 years time, if you have a son that has already grown up, have him go for war and see him come home as a 30 year old with half a limb left?

we're in a recession because obama is going to tax the top 5%. those are the people providing jobs for everybody. we didn't have a problem 2 years ago? if we did it wasn't like losing 800 points in one day on the dow. and you know what- i would love for us to engage in more wars to remain free(that's what our founding fathers said) than to sit back and have my FREEDOM taken away from me. obama is getting ready to SCREW everything up. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

of course war destroys countries you moron, the U.S was born from war that's true buts its worth noting that that happened close 2 200 hundred years ago!!! as a species we have 2 discard these barbaric ways, we r evolving a day at a time & have to realise that war HAS 2 be THE last resort if we r to move forward as a people

people are the same now as they were 200 years ago, and the same as they were 2,000 years ago. the only thing that has changed is technology. we don't have to use rocks and sticks, we are using the threat of nuclear weapons. don't give me this "we are evolving a day at a time" crap. war IS the last resort. the united states is a PEACEFUL country. we don't go attacking other countries!!! japan attacked us, we bombed them. al qaeda attacked us, we go attack them. and so on.

i think you will find we have evolved from 2000 years ago my ignorant chum, our intelligence and understanding of our environment has vastly improved, our tolerance of other cultures is improving (in most civilised countries that is) we r attempting to solve the riddle of our existence rather than saying 'god did it' more than 2000 years ago, as for the U.S not invading a country? could you please explain to me what Iraq did to deserve having their cities bombed? no W.M.D's there slick

@lickstickly we went 8 years without another terrorist attack. infiltrating those middle eastern countries and eliminating al qaeda was very significant in our safety. we weren't fighting iraq. we were fighting al qaeda. get it straight.........
