@MrLaughingbaby Buahahaha, no.

OpenGL already has tessellation. It is 4.x.

@manhunt48 PhysX isn't an engine, it's a hardware acceleration middleware SDK. It enhances physics within a game. It's not an actual engine.

@Heaney5551 eh yeah. . . Because someone recognises he benefits and negatives of a product that makes them a fanboi?
How retarded are you. . . Firstly that shows that you're the fanboi.secondly I like nvidai products, I own a 2 gtx 550 ti's. I'm just not a retard who cannot see a money making gimmick.

You're an idiot.
PHYSX doesn't require a second card.
I have ONE GTX 570 and play Metro 2033 with physx on at 50-60 fps (Vsync on).
You're just an anti-NVIDIA fanboy.

@MarthKoopa Go back to the Current Events forum on GameFAQs.com. If anyone wants to make fun of this guy, go there.

FUCK YEAH PC GAMING

@manhunt48 Physics is running in cuda. A physics library can run in any of the languages of gpu, cuda, opencl, or the dx one. Bullet will run in Opencl. If physX needs an extra video card is becouse nvidia wants to sell hardware, not becouse it cannot run.

i think graphical advancement is really stagnating. I'm not impressed with this to be honest.
-
@manhunt48 you're comparing a physics engine with a graphics api.
lol if you look later in the clip, you actually see water splashing... the reason why it didn't splash in the first clip is because they were showing off the dynamic displacement mapping - and you can't see it that clear if the water splashes.

Havok and bullet engines do a much better job then Nvidia PhysX, they're much more widely being used for future games which will work beautifully with DX11 which isn't the case for Nvidia physx and they don't require you to buy an extra card.
-1 for Nvidia physX
+1 for DX11
