If you're curious to see how the mainstream Washington, D.C. press views the global warming debate, Newsweek's Eleanor Clift may have tipped off the public off.

On the Nov. 29 edition of "The McLaughlin Group," host John McLaughlin asked about the prospects of a Copenhagen climate change treaty and its possible impact on the U.S. economy. MSNBC and "The McLaughlin Group" regular Pat Buchanan gave some spot-on analysis on global warming alarmist about former Vice President Al Gore and how it pertains to the climate change issue.

"Well, I don't think it's going to have any impact, John, because I don't think it's going to get through the United States Senate," Buchanan said. "And there's a reason for that John, and that's Al Gore's moment has come and gone. The truth is they're changing the name to climate change rather than global warming for a reason."

  • There's no global warming because scientists doctored the data, rigged the peer review process, deleted hosts of emails, and did not comply with England's Freedom of Information Act. Have you been paying atttention at all?

  • Indeed. And even then any intelligent person would realize that melting ice wouldn't raise the water-level in the glass so to speak. It's already displacing the water it would take up as a liquid. Basic science/observation people, a glass of ice-water doesn't magically have higher water-line just because the ice melts.

  • @beinzee I wish Eleanor would throw herself off a "CLIFT".

  • wow this lady has her head so far up her ass her small intestant has digested her face

  • @PersianPaladin Why?

  • Surprise surprise

The power hungry elites that more or less rule this planet are not intersted in democracy but manipulatiing it for their own egocentric greed and personal gain. Human activity caused ( anthropogenic ) green house gasses are now the equivilant of the GHG of 100 volcanoes erupting 24/7

or 15 million years worth of sequestered hydrocarbons released into earths closed loop

    atmosphere each year.

That's 42 000 worth of years of sequestered hydrocarbons used every single day.

  • @Foxxie0kun

    Your glass analogy is absurd.

They're not going to take over congress, I can guarantee it, and even if they do it'll be the same old same old. The only good thing that would come of it is the possible repealing of Obamacare (and that'll probably be nullified by the states anyway). And what rich motherfucker would oppose cap and trade? Royal Dutch Shell lobbied for it! Wanna know why? Because big business can afford regulations, small business can't! The competition will be destroyed! The rich love regulation.

  • Why does Eleanor Clift still occupy a chair on the "McLaughlin Group?" When she is replaced someday it will take a long time to de-toxify that liberal(socialist)chair.

  • @VegitoVai90 Corporate media failed to report much of it; it wasn't as sensational or hysterical as the accusations of "climategate." As I said do a google search. The big money-driven system corrupts many politicos; but today the overarching threat is that of Republican/tea-baggers lunatics (& liars) taking control of congress. I am not interested in your crotch -- my respoinse to your comment was facetious..duh.

  • @marcostar57

No it was not. Where are you getting your information? CNN? Fox? MSNBC? I wouldn't trust those if they were the last outlets on the planet. And if not from the MSM, then from where? I'd say about 1% of both parties aren't self-serving hedonist liars, including Alan Grayson and Ron Paul (although I disagree a bit with both). I'd rather you stay away from my crotch actually, it was an expression. You say it when you prove someone wrong through their own logic.

  • @VegitoVai90 Do a google search on "climate-gate" -- IT was the hoax! Agree though that many Dems are corporatist -- though ALL Rethugs are. And no, I won't blow you -- though you'd like me to.
