  • @ynotdrol2 you are a buttplug pink floyd WAS in the original soundtrack although not this song... he was expressing his idea. so, you can like/dislike & if it is not your fancy, change the channel. But, if YOU think you can do better then do it or shutup!

  • Eh, I really see what you're trying to do... I think it's clever.

But this song, REALLY dosen't work with this movie.

Granted, I suppose it kind of does for just this segment.

But... With a movie with the intent of it being a bad ass gore, hot babes, drugs, and kick ass movie. I could understand why people are pissed off.

  • First of all, no pink floyd was not on the soundtrack, it had been planned to be used before this sequence, but due to time constraints was cut.

    It was cut.

And an awesome song and image sequence followed. When I google "taking a ride" B-17 I want to watch that exactly that. Imagine my horror and disgust when this is what I got in its place.

Also, you did a terrible job.

    So there :p

  • The song combined with the movie is utopian perfection

  • At least I understand that "Major Boobage" reference in South Park now.

  • The Death of the Ball Turret Gunner

    by Randall Jarrell

From my mother's sleep I fell into the State,

And I hunched in its belly till my wet fur froze.

Six miles from earth, loosed from the dream of life,

I woke to black flak and the nightmare fighters.

When I died they washed me out of the turret with a hose.

  • @Teraquan calm down, bitch

  • This f*cked up the segment royally. The ENTIRE segment was set to Don Felder's "Takin' a Ride". You don't screw with imagery this graphic and think you can "one up" it. PLEASE watch the original segment before you judge it by this.

  • @paul62462 Sorry but Pink Floyd was NOT, oh no, NOT on the original soundtrack, you are mistaken. Google Heavy Metal Soundtrack for a list of bands and songs in the movie.

  • Bomber crewmembers went thorugh a special Hell that was handmade for them. They couldn't escape the can. They couldn't run away. The plane was their coffin, their hope, their dreams, and their salvation. No wonder they came out of the war so fucked up but so enlightened and free.

  • This really does not work with this song.
