what age are you living in?? no batteries have mercury in them anymore.
the latex is biodegradable and the batteries and led will rust away. the lithium in the cell will react with oxygen in the air/water and form harmless compounds.
ok im not even going to try and guess the odds of a balloon landing in a whales blow hole.. what are you thinking??!??

helium is a natural resource and therefore would be gone right before our eyes or our great grandkids eyes.
that's a very old news about helium. the supply is getting weaker so suppliers have to hike the prices.

@ron808 Actually, helium is made in laboratorys using the alpha radiation process. an alpha decay gives off helium nuclei! So really, lack of helium isn't much of a problem.

@bbollie LED's are famous for being light sources that don't give off any heat at all. So no , the LED's won't heat up and the baloons won't snap.

How long do the LEDs stay on? like on a button cell battery?
bmxstreet6 11 months ago
@bmxstreet6 sometimes a week, sometimes a little bit less, depends on the current draw of the LED and the quality of the battery.
