It didn't need to be done, and he clearly stated he was thinking about it in interviews. And I think a less blatantly obvious name, asking for permission, having the game not in the "Indie section" as it's not indie, or having the maker not yell at everyone, would make people less angry at it.

@TehOnlyShoe, Shut up. Your one of those faggots who just care about graphics. Gameplay of this cheap rip off is absolutely terrible. Yes, it's a rip off because it implements sandbox style building. Also, I love minecraft's graphics because it makes the environment comforting. If you REALLY care about the fucking graphics, get a gay ass texture pack. Don't make a horrid clone.
