Normal war militar prison, absolutely all was maded to brake people from inside. I know one man who was prisoner in 1981. He was there last year with me, he show a cell where he was. And he wasnt scared. He was arrested because he dropt a blowing pack to the officer feats. And officer was screaming two hours, that he was trying to kill him.

And straight way to the Liepaja gaupvahta. He was there three weeks, till officer colme down and dismiss him to peel a potatoes clamp. But place is scarry!

2nd - you can't even imagine the discipline that was there and the conditions were beyond awful.

prisinors were given bread that contained 80% wood chipping and 20% flour.

karosta is just like a museum now.... and we were told how a man, who once was a prisioner there, came as a member of a group of tourists, but wasn't told they were going to Karosta. he fainted as soon as he saw the building and the fences.

and that is "pampering" the prisioners?

hahaHAHA! your comment really made me laught. at you. seems like you don't know a thing about this place. 1st of all, this was a prision for soldiers. "until 1997 it has served as a place where military persons served their terms for breach of discipline. Ever since the first years of its existence it has been a place to break peoples lives and suppress their free will"

Communists and Socialists really know how to pamper their prisoners. Compare to hell hole Fed prisons USA. Sewage drip ceiling into galley where eat. Convict violence.
