Sylvia Theron - Monte Carlo Festival 1975

Rare video of a gorgeous hand-balancer from the 1970s & 80s. Sylvia is Austrian and watch for the impressive one-finger balance after 1:30. The commentary is by Jean Richard, the French broadcaster and circus fan, and this is apparently from the 2nd/2eme Monte Carlo Festival in 1975. She had also appeared on UK Television on the Paul Daniels show back in the 1980s and the Neil Jordan 1991 film "The Miracle" which was set in Ireland. If anyone knows of further footage of this beautiful and impressive performer, please let me know. Likewise, if this infringes any copyrights please advise and I will remove the video immediately.

the one finger balance is fake, she certainly has a iron stick in the glove as support. it was a pretty common trick at that time. not saying it's easy anyway

She was on the Paul Daniels Show in the UK about 1980. I'd love it if someone could upload that performance.

Note a brief appearance by the lovely Yasmine Smart at the end - she was the guest assistant ringmistress for this festival, alongside the legendary 'Sergio', the regular 'Monsieur Loyal' at Monte Carlo.

Sylvia's one finger balance is incredible!! How can anyone have the strength to do that?? Oh and she has a very nice bottom ;-) Have you seen the Italian aerialist Fernanda Perris at the first Monte Carlo Festival in 1974? Look her up on Utube!
