The upcoming movie, The Runaways, starring Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning just released its first official trailer. It definitely sets the mood for the rock-themed flick. We're introduced to the time - it's 1975 - and apparently the music scene was totally run by men. Yet The Runaways trailer definitely shows a different, new side to the industry. Stewart as Jett and Fanning as Currie are the two standouts, both in the band and on the big screen. We see them recording in the studio, rocking on stage for tons of fans and there's a bit of violence as Stewart throws a chair and someone gets shoved. There's also a bit of sexy shaking and seductive looks thrown into the sneak peek. Basically, this all-female group unexpectedly takes the music world by storm.

You can catch the full movie version of The Runaways in theatres this Spring 2010.
