You guys are missign the point of the music. Thrice uses a ton of religon in their lyrics as well as philosophy. This doesnt make them a christan band or an emo band or anything. Thrice has an over all moral message, how they want to get it across is their bussiness. I also feel like a lot of the refrences they make are cynical and even sarcastic.

@joshuaspolar (continued) Also, Dustin appears to be Christian, yes. The writing of his solo album is pretty agreeably Christian, yes. But that is a comment on Dustin and not on Thrice. He wrote the songs on his solo album as a representation of himself and not of Thrice. Hence the term, Solo Album.

@joshuaspolar... you just ignored everything I previously said. The occasional use of ones philosophy or existential beliefs in their music does not bind the musician to a simple representation of that belief (put simply, the occasional use of Christianity in songs does not make you a "Christian band"). Let us not make the mistake of assuming that Thrice is only capable of making references that aren't deeper than their initial face value.
