I've watched all the episodes and find that it's fuckin great. Can't wait to see the next.

It isn't necessarily fatal. Take Mad Men for example: it's a fantastic show, but if you really analyze the characters there isn't a good reason to like any of them, and it's not very diverse. That's because the show is incredibly realistic. Girls is the same way, in a sense: Dunham wrote about girls like her, who may not hang out with people ethnically or financially different than her. She chose to portray realism rather than satisfy viewer expectations.

Ugh, people frustrate me. This show isn't supposed to be ha-ha, laugh out loud funny. This show appeals to a certain audience. Lena Dunham took a huge risk by creating a show like that, but look at her now, she's landed several Emmy nominations. I'd say the show is doing pretty well despite all the people out there who don't think it's funny enough.

idk if someone's already responded you telling you this, but Dunham is addressing the diversity factor. Donald Glover is coming to the show as a possible love interest

I'm disappointed. I thought that this show would be about pre-teen girls and the pedophiles that love them. Twenty somethings ? How boring.

each girl is just another stuck up, self-entitled slut. Dunham included. The only factor that sets this show apart from shows like Gossip GIrl is that these girls aren't that good looking but of course the average viewer thinks (wrongly) that this somehow makes the show that much better or even remotely different.

the writing is good, but the characters are all assholes. they're a hard group to want to tune into every week. although, watching marnie and jessa lez out all over each others faces last week was a nice surprise.
