@MAnnaconduit1 No, the Patriot Act doesn't defy that. Actually, it's a band-aid to a bigger problem. But getting aside from all that, TV does have an influence, but not, perhaps, the one that you think it does. It's not what's on TV that's a problem; it's too much TV, which is part and parcel of a greater problem that results in parents both working to maintain a certain level of income in order to maintain a standard of living, rather than refocusing on family first than career.
