The "extras" that were in the testing room were given paperwork, such as W-2 forms, to fill out to make it look like they were actually testing. They were also told not to pay attention to the other actors in the scene, but most couldn't help themselves.........it took a couple of takes to finally get this down...........funniest scene ever..........
LMAO, thanks for posting this, it's always been one of my favorites! I don't think I've seen it since it originally aired...Weirdest thing is how back then I thought of these guys as "really old people" and now I think, "GOD, how young they all are!":)
This ranks in my personal top 10 funniest sitcom scenes of all time! A classic! I read somewhere that Marilu Henner had to jab her hand with a pencil to keep from laughing when Rev. Jim got going with the "whhaaat doo youu doo" Notice also his little "s" bomb after realizing the first part wasn't the test.
I just never get tired of this. This was back when sitcoms knew how to make you roll on the floor laughing without using sex for obscene language. Well done Reverend Jim and all the writers & actors from Taxi. Thanks for the laughs!!
