Above all the sportsmanship displayed by both teams at the end of this video is remarkable. Applause worthy of these athletes. Co-ed is a TOUGH division, and the overall competitiveness in IL has increased drastically. I'm happy for all that won, all that performed and all that accepted defeat with humility.

omg its funny how just because elk grove loss people get all defensive right away. honestly if you really knew anything about cheer and elk groves history you would know that the only reason why they are on top is because of jeff the coach they never won before him. the 5 years he was there they won. before that he taught at buffalo grove and thats when bg cheer was winning Now he is back at bg and they've won every competition so far. lets just see who takes first place this year at state.

@GretchyBug I've watched Elk Grove and Palestine cheer's videos from the past 2 or 3 years. I dont know anything about illinois State Cheerleading but I do know risky co-ed stunting and a good overall co-ed team. I'm not saying that Elk Grove is bad, I'm just saying that for the amount of guys that they have, I'm surprised that they didnt throw more risky or difficult co-ed stunting. In my opinion, and the judges apparently, 1st deserved to go to Palatine.

I go to elk grove and just because i go there doesn't mean that they should always win but they are AMAZING and just because they didn't do so good that particular day doesn't mean they don't do not as risky stunts. I was at state this year and if you look at at the state video elk groves flyer from day 1 is the only flyer that goes off the screen! They've won 5 state titles and they DESERVED them. not because of the judges!

@Livikins21 well maybe they should pay more attention to the rules and stop having their coach cheat with all the secret meetings he has with the judges after they compete. Palatine won fair and square, and we all know the crowd like our routine more anyways.

just to let you kno if you win state that many times the judges pay a whole lot more attention to the smallest things.. its their reason for trying to make it happen and obviously we still won even with all eyes on us
