Chris Rainville's father Maurice passed away because of work related lung cancer. The Vale Copper Refinery has turned their back on him, after he dedicated 31 years of his life to the company.
Inco took my father's life as well. In July of 2009 they found a mass in his lungs. When the surgeon operated to remove this mass it was too late as the cancer had spread to his lymph nodes. The doctor was very certain to say that our father's lungs had been contaminated. He then asked if my father was a minor. 6 short months later, of ICU, ventilators and heartache we lost our father. We went to Inco. They have done nothing. That's what they do for a man who gave them more than 30yrs.
I grew up in Sudbury that hell hole. I remember the taste of sulphur. INCO-Vale doesn't give a damn any employee. The bottom line is money, always has been always will be.
Your's is one one many stories like this from Sudbury, my uncle was also affected with a rare form of cancer from the same refinery. Thank you for bringing this to peoples attention, as we have overlooked these great men and women for too long.
