On 9/11, the US TV networks used computer generated sceneries of Manhattan. The layering techniques and softwares used for these simulations seemingly blended real and digital images - but the EXACT way this was done is frankly not for us to define. However, the technology certainly exists and it is naive to think this was difficult/impossible to achieve.
In "CHOPPED OUT", I compare two shots (11 minutes apart) which show a reversing helicopter in the same corner of the screen - and the same spot over Manhattan.
The probability of this occuring in reality is not worth calculating as it is pretty close to nil.

So Simon Shack, Have you aligned the helicopters and compared the fake smoke images yet? I know it's a task, but I can't do it with my limited technology. How can I come work with you?
