There is no absolute standard which to measure to, so it comes down purely to taste. why do you think there are so many different genres of music and so many artists in each genre? Music is about as subjective as you can get. I find it extremely ironic that you are calling music a science and talking about lyrics, harmony, and melody while referring to punk bands. specifically NOFX. Are you completely ignorant of the history of punk?

Even if he was actually making fun of NOFX, there is no comparison of the two bands at all. Blink 182= shit pop band that was marketed to young teens, mislabeled as punk rock, around for a short amount of time. NOFX have been punk rockers for like 30 years, have their own successful record label, are actually good and have WAY more records than that other POS band.
