Canaan preceded Mesopotamia and ancient Egypt. The land was a loose federation of towns and city states in a social, cultural and religious bond which was based on caravans and free trade.

It stretched from Gaza Strip of today to the Negev, West Bank, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria. In some times Egypt north and Turkey south were part of Canaan. The Bible records that also.

By the way, original Canaanites were of mixed tribes and races.

@mikeblaze2e Well I havnt really read much about the hyksos, I study mostly biblical so when it ties together I read it. I dont see why they couldnt be the same, ive never really thought of it. Do you have any historical information? I would love to know your thoughts.
