Manchester Orange Order Parade September 2009

A short video of the Manchester Orange Order Parade. This annual Manchester Orange Order Parade makes its way down Bury New Road into Manchester City Centre via Deansgate.
Several dark clouds threatened to pour down as the parade entered Manchester City Centre, but thankfully the rain held off. God was on side!
Leading the Parade was Heroes of The Somme Flute Marching Band followed by members of the Grand Orange Lodge of England. The second marching band on the Manchester parade was Everton Road Protestant Boys with well turned out Orange Lodges from Manchester, Bolton, Bootle and Burnley.
The Orange Order has a long history in Manchester and has been part of the city for over 200 years.
