For 1, I mean the buttons that pop up in the browser, or the maps application. With the + and - in a looking glass.
Will be looking forward tot the code on google code. Would also gladly test it in the emulator.

Great work, I have only two small comments:
- Could you use the default zoom buttons?
- When searching for a street, could you search as you type? TomTom does this as well, when selecting a city it will narrow down the list as you type. Great feature I think.
I can't wait to give it a try on my dev phone!

About the Dev phone, I have access from time to time to one but there are some behavioral differences between the emulator and the Dev phone. I will let you know when the app will work on the Dev phone.
