Tornado in Kaukauna on April 10th, 2011

This is the tornado that tore through Kaukauna, WI on 2011-04-10, you get your first glimpse at around 1:30. It was night so the only time you could see it is when the lightning lit up the sky casting a silhouette of the funnel.

You can really hear it off in the distance coming up 10th Street. It appears to be coming directly from the Appleton Coated paper mill. See the followup video of my wife, dog, and I in the basement. You can really hear it and get an idea of the feeling of being around one of these things!

Definately a scary storm. I was home alone in my bathroom with my animals. I was born and raised in NC and have been through a few hurricanes and can honestly say I was more scared in my bathroom that night than i have ever been. Thanks for the footage!
