@Blazimun1 Ah yes, but technically Fontaine was playing a character, and that character was meant to be Irish.

@Blazimun1 and I'm still pretty sure the writers intended for Atlas to be Irish, I'll go hunt for the source material on the Bioshock wiki.

@Blazimun1 No, I'm pretty sure Atlas is irish, and originally they were going to have Fontaine's voice actor to do an irish accent, but got someone completely different to make the twist more....well twisty. Though he does break 'character' with American colloquisms.
