Helicopter Flight: Auckland's West Coast Beaches & Bush

Part of a helicopter flight on Jan 3rd 2009. Starting here http://tinyurl.com/dg9f69 at Bethell's beach we fly South, down the coast West of Auckland.

We see the cliffs at Anawhata, Piha Beach & Lion Rock, Taitomo Island and KareKare beach.

We then reach the corner of the North Manukau Head, and skim low over the marshes (at 10m above the ground, travelling at around 250kph) before reaching Whatipu beach.

Then it's up into the bush of the Waitakere Ranges, passing over the bach at Mount Donald McLean (at 6:10) before heading back to the city via the lower Nihotipu Dam, going towards Titirangi.
