I am originally from the Eastern Shore of VA and in fact graduated high school the same year this was filmed. I spent my childhood seeing the Migrants in the area when they came there to work, and never had a clue of how poorly they lived and were treated. They were treated badly or ignored by most residents. I wish I could go back in time and make things better for them.
