The Watts Up? .NET meter is a new product offering from WattsUp meters. This 120 volt plugin meter will log the demand, voltage, current, energy consumption, power factor, frequency and apparent power of an appliance plugged into it. But the best thing about the .NET meter is that it will push data onto a remote website and archive the data. The data can be pushed onto the site every 15 minutes with the free account. Data is archived for up to 30 days until it is overwritten. Other features include an estimated usage per day as well as cost of usage AND a demand response feature. Truly a unique product.

Update: I've been advised that the latest firmware version is out and the company has modified the hosted database such that local time can be set for the meter data. I've sent my meter back to have the firmware rev'd up.

Good demonstration. Plugging this into the bridge for wireless access was an excellent idea.
Can the firmware in the device be updated?

Thank you for watching. That is a good question. The remote switching doesn't always work and the company is planning to improve this function. It may take a bit of reprogramming the website scripting as well as a firmware upgrade in the meter. I'll post an update when I know.
