  • It is to big. Hear how long it takes to wind up. Not that to big is a bad thing I like it lol

  • @UWontcatchMeClean Actually it's sized well for the engine. The exhaust housing is a bit smaller than stock, so it spools quicker. the only upgrade being shown here is a bigger compressor wheel, which keeps EGT's down a little at higher RPM. Any increases in lag due to increased compressor mass are more than made up for with the smaller turbine housing.

  • the whistle, That came from swapping turbo's? how do you make the whistle more prominent?

  • @VaMoneyCow The map width enhancement slot adds a bit of whistle. It recirculates air to reduce surge, and that recirculation makes for whistle. It also reduces efficiency slightly. Changing to an intake without sound-deadening ribs would make it whistle even more while driving.

  • @moondog203 EGT's get a little warm, so I could use the water injection. I'd invite you to piss in my exhaust after the turbo too so I can reduce NOx. Environmentalists would appreciate it.

  • I might piss in your inlet.

  • Sounds better on a DSM.

  • That is SUUUUUCCHHH a badass sound. When I think turbo (I'm 33), I remember the early ones off the Cat's and semis. I'm running a 60-1 that makes it's fair share of spool song, but that Holset just sounds simply BADASS!!!!

  • @caseyn720 It all depends on your fueling and use. I run stock injectors and don't tow much, so the 12 is good for me. With more fuel and towing, the 18 would keep things cooler on the top end. Exhaust housings are easy to swap though, so it might be best to try both and see which you like best.

  • @gmansdiesel what was better for you? the 12 or the 18?? i have an h1c with a 12cm housing i was thinking of doing the 60mm upgrade too, i also have an 18 and a 21cm housing for that. and i have an hx35 with a 12 cm exhaust housing that i could do the upgrade to instead, but if the 12 gets too hot then ill do the h1c with an 18!

  • SOUNDS LIKE FORD TRANSIT ^^

  • @gmansdiesel Lolololol
