@BigMackWitSauce because he had to inject some of the lambent parasite into him to see how they worked. Then they lived happily ever after.

@BigMackWitSauce The locust queen made a deal where Adam needed to do something to kill all the lambent and if he was unable to then the locust will attack the surface of Sera. Adam was able to make a weapon but it would kill the locust as well (don't know why), that is when Emergence Day started. (SKIP TO END OF GoW 2) The humans sunk the tunnels of the locust. Later on the lambent surfaced and started attacking. (SKIP FEW EVENTS IN GoW3) Adam activated the weapon but killing himself as well

@BigMackWitSauce Sometimes it is bad to reveal everything to the people playing. Sometimes it is better to leave some mystery to it.

Just for people who don't know, here is my understanding of the locust:

The locust was the race that lived under Sera's surface. They met the lambent, a parasitic life form that was able to basically infect the locust and they had a war between them. The locust queen made a deal with a scientist named Adam Fenix, the father of Marcus Fenix (main character)

@FormativeApple The story I have to say is that halo and gears of war are tied.

Halo 1, 2 and 3, odst and reach made an awesome story and is unforgettable

Gears of war 1, 2 and 3 made a spectacular story with parts that made me wanna cry at times.

It is very close but gears of war story i have to say is better

@MrTikiTaco You can't say gears of war copied halo's firefight mainly because they are completely different. Between halo reach and gears of war 3, halo reaches firefight is like a shooting fest sort of thing, gears of war 3 is like setting up a base and holding out

the campaign is better in gears

but the multiplayer is amazing in halo

so both tie
