Why this battle BGM is so good is that Motoi Sakuraba (one of my favorite VGM makers) made this track

My first RPG on the Sega Saturn. I loved it. Albert Odyssey, Dragon Force and even Legend of Oasis. How I wish I can go back to those days again.

My Personal Best Game Ever....T_T

Wish Sega would rerelease this for either the DS or the 3DS
The dungeons in 3D would be amazing to look at on the 3DS screen IMO, and playing while on the go is convenient =)

Those scissor crabs were a royal pain when first encountered...

@ShdwHg I really cannot grasp the pixie concept until I play it. And play it I will, for I have become a crazy Camelot fanboy. I really enjoy Shining in the Darkness and Shining Force, and can't wait to get to SFII, SFCD, SFIII, and Holy Ark. For some reason I can't get into Golden Sun, though. Maybe it's because it's on a handheld, as shallow of a reason that may be.

Not really. The spots they attack at are completely random; that being said, depending on what spaces are around the spot they're attacking from, they can attack from a variety of different angles, which is where the pixies come into play (send out the correct kind for the correct angle for a quick attack). So no, they don't always ambush from corners, but yes, if the opportunity is there, they might do just that.
Make sense? It's kind of hard to explain.
Are you playing this on an emulator/rom? If so, where did you get it?

I remember crabs like that from Shining in the Darkness. I wish I'd had a chance to play this, the design looks phenomenal, with the characters and animation. Looks like there are some interesting options too. What do the pixies do?

there are 50 to find. you have a different set they relate to attacking monsters depending on where the monsters appear from. ie you need to select the right pixie if the monster appears from the left of the screen, far distance from the screen, bottom of the screen, right of the screen etc..
