  • The bouncers are on private property and are walking the suspect to the police on to the public streets. So it is allowed to do so.

  • Under the Criminal Code of Canada. If a police officer ask for assistance in arresting someone and you agree to help, under the law you would be "assisting a peace officer" and would have the power of a police officer. That grants you right to use as much force reasonably necessarily to complete the arrest.

  • Looks to me like they brought out the problem to the police then walked back into the club where is the problem

  • Are you kidding me...? How would they be able to operate as doormen, if they didn't have legal rights to make citizens arrests? Guess what, you can make citizens arrests too! ;)
